What is IEDP?

The Interdisciplinary Engineering Design Program at the University of Arizona provides a forum for teams of engineering students to work directly with industry.

Seniors from across the College of Engineering work in multidisciplinary teams to solve design problems identified by industry partners.

Starting with customer needs, the teams move through a careful design process culminating in prototype manufacture.

The Interdisciplinary Engineering Design Program is a two-semester (8-month) design course that provides student teams with realistic design experiences carried out with the support of faculty mentors and industry liaisons.

What is our FOCUS?

Our focus is to provide engineering students with real-life engineering experience and to get them acquainted with the team design process and experimentation.

With these skills, students can become exceptionally prepared for a career in engineering.
